The energy was electric, the tackles fierce, and the spirit unbreakable as 13 elite plantation teams clashed in the most anticipated rugby showdown of the year – the 23rd Inter Plantation Rugby Sevens, held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at the historic Dickoya Maskeliya Cricket Club (DMCC), Hatton.

Amidst roaring crowds and intense competition, the combined team of Agarapatana Plantations PLC and Kotagala Plantations PLC emerged victorious, clinching the Shield Championship title with an unforgettable win against Kahawatte Plantations PLC in the final.
